The tools I use to communicate to students is handwritten notes or talking to them directly. The tools that I use to communicate to parents is the student's planner or a phone call. The tools I use to communicate to other teachers or professionals is texting, phone call, email, written notes.
I would consider "b" Skype or Gmail Video Chat.
